Questions couples ask

Short answers on making, sharing and removing your invite, and on the designs.

Making your invite

How much does it cost?

Nothing. Making, publishing and sharing an invite is free today. If we ever charge for something, the price will show clearly before you pay, and nothing you have already published will be charged for.

Can we make it on a phone?

Yes, start to finish. Type your two names, choose one of ten designs and a colour, add your dates, functions and venues, and publish. Every design is drawn for a phone screen first and looks just as good on a laptop.

Do we need an account?

Only to publish. You sign in with your Google account, or with your email address and a code we send to it, so only you can edit or remove your invite. Guests never sign in: they just open the link.

Can it hold every function?

Yes, from the haldi and mehendi to the reception. Add each function with its date, time and venue, and the invite gives each one its own place, with directions to its venue.

Can we add a photo?

Yes, one photo of the two of you, placed where the design has room for it. It is made smaller on your phone before it uploads, so it is quick to send and quick for guests to open.

Can we write our names in Hindi or Urdu?

Yes. Type your names in Devanagari, Urdu or any other script and the invite shows them as you wrote them. The share image is clearest with names in English letters.

Can we add links to the invite?

Only two kinds: a Google Maps or Apple Maps link for directions to a venue, and a Google Form for replies. Other web links can't go on an invite, so every invite stays a safe page for guests to open.

Sharing and guests

Do guests need to install anything?

No. The invite is a web page, so it opens from WhatsApp, Instagram, Telegram, a text or an email, in the phone's own browser.

Can we share it on WhatsApp and Instagram?

Yes. Send the link in WhatsApp or any message app and the preview shows your own cover. On Instagram, add the link to a story with a link sticker, and post the share image to your story or feed.

How do guests reply?

Add a WhatsApp number, a phone number or a Google Form, and the invite shows a button for it. Replies come straight to you; the invite itself collects nothing from guests.

Can guests get directions to the venue?

Yes. Add a Google Maps or Apple Maps link for each venue, or just the venue and its city, and the invite shows a button that opens directions on the guest's phone.

Can guests add the functions to their calendar?

Yes. The invite has an add to calendar button, for one function or the whole wedding, and it works with the calendar on any phone.

Can we keep it private?

Yes. Choose a private link and the address gets an unguessable code, so only the people you send it to can open it. Search engines never list a couple's invite, private or not.

Can we print it?

The invite is made as a web page rather than a printed card. Your share page gives you a QR code to download, which you can print on a card or a sign so guests scan it and open the invite.

Designs

Is there a design for a Hindu wedding?

Yes. Saptapadi walks the seven steps of a Hindu wedding down the page and can count down to your muhurat, and The Marigold Arch gives every function its own printed card. Any design can open with Shri Ganesh or Om.

Is there a design for a nikah?

Yes. Noor is made for Muslim weddings: every date also appears in the Hijri calendar, and the Bismillah appears only if you choose it.

Can the invite open with a blessing?

Yes. Choose Shri Ganesh, Om, Shubh Vivah, Ik Onkar or the Bismillah, and any design opens with it in its own script. It is optional, so leave it out if you prefer.

Can we change the design or colour later?

Yes. Every design comes in four colours, and you can switch to another design or colour after publishing. Your names, dates and venues carry over, and the link stays the same.

After you publish

Can we change the invite after sending it?

Yes. Sign in and open Your invites to change names, dates, functions, venues, the design or its colour. The link stays the same, so everyone who opens it sees the new version.

Can we take it down or delete it?

Yes, from Your invites. Take it offline to hide it for a while and put it back whenever you like, or delete it for good: the invite and its photo are erased at once.

What happens after the wedding?

The countdown ends and the page becomes a keepsake of the day, marked just married. It deletes itself 6 months after the wedding, and we email you first; from Your invites you can keep it longer or keep it for good.
