Bhai Dooj wishes with your name
Bhai Dooj is on Wednesday, 11 November this year, three days after Diwali. Here are wishes for your brother or sister in English, Hindi and Hinglish, and how to make a card with both your names on it, in about a minute.
As it should read on the card: Priya, or Priya and Arjun.
As you call them: Rohan bhaiya, Meera didi. You can leave it out.

What Bhai Dooj is
Bhai Dooj closes the five days of Diwali. A sister puts a tilak of roli and rice on her brother's forehead, does his aarti with a diya, feeds him a sweet and prays for his long life, and he gives her a gift and his word to stand by her. It is also called Yama Dwitiya, after the story of Yamuna welcoming her brother Yama home, Bhau Beej in Maharashtra and Bhai Phonta in Bengal.
Bhai Dooj wishes for your brother

Put both your names on the card
Roli, the Bhai Dooj card, sets an aarti thali on silk: a diya, a katori of roli with rice for the tilak, sweets, a coconut tied with kalava, and marigolds. A small card on the thali carries both your names, "For Rohan bhaiya, from Priya". Leave your brother's or sister's name out and it reads from you alone.

When your brother or sister opens the link, the thali turns a little and the diya's flame flickers once.
Made in a minute
- Type both your names. Yours as it should read on the card ("Priya", or "Priya and Arjun"), and your brother's or sister's as you call them ("Rohan bhaiya", "Meera didi"). Then choose a colour.
- Keep our message or write your own, in English, Hindi or Hinglish. The card's greeting follows its language: "Happy Bhai Dooj" or "शुभ भाई दूज". Add a photo of the two of you if you like: it sits on the thali in a round brass frame. Choose too whether the card shows how often it has been opened.
- Create and send it. You sign in once, with an email code or Google, so only you can delete it later. Then send the card's link on WhatsApp, and post its pictures to your status or stories.

- Your card's link: the share page gives it to you with buttons for WhatsApp and Telegram. In the chat, the preview shows your own card, and the link opens the whole card on any phone, with no app to install.
- Pictures to save and post: tap Make the pictures on the share page, then save each one: a square picture for chats and groups, and a tall one for your WhatsApp status or Instagram story.
- Instagram: send the link in a message and post the tall picture to your story.

Diwali, too
Diwali falls on Sunday, 8 November, three days before Bhai Dooj, with its own cards that carry your family's or your business's name.
